I have a print control in my web applicatiion that when clicked upon opens a new instance of the browser and has various functionalities to be tested on the new instance before closing it and returning to the parent page. Unfortunately, Web UI Test Studio stops recording events on the new instance of the browser. So there is a disconnect between the parent page and the child page.
Please advise as to how to solve this.

Hello Mridula,
Were you at least prompted by WebUI to automate the popup? The prompt should say "A new Html pop-up 'URL' has been detected. Would you like to automate it?' with Yes, No and Cancel buttons. Here's a video on how the process should go.
If you are prompted and the IE popup instance launches, then you need to configure IE a litle more for recording. Here are videos for configuring XP, Vista, and servers 2003/2008, and please make sure that UAC in Vista and Protected Mode are disabled in IE.
