[Solved] how to show a group without child?

Hi!

i need a way to show a list of Product grouped by their Categories but i need to show ALL the Categories even if theres no product inside. Each product must be selectable.

i have attached a screenshot of what i have done but theres a problem. When i have a Categorie without products, i generate an empty row with the Categorie information for the Telerik Grid to show the empty group. In fact, theres a blank line on the Category Group that i dont want.

So is there a way to show empty group with Telerik Grid?

Hello Alex,

If you use the Q2 2010 beta, you can achieve the desired result using the newly introduced master/detail views. It should save you from hacking your way toward a similar functionality.

i saw the Master/Details but this is not what we want. We don't want a grid in a grid. Or maybe we can remove the Details Header/Footer?

we just want to have the possibilities to have a simple group with empty detail.

Hello Alex,

It is not mandatory to use a grid as a child template - you can simply insert a table, or whatever HTML you need.

i think we will use a treeView and simple table for that.
