In the example code the content is hard coded. I am not getting any clue how to define the view model and set the bindings. How to do these?

Hello Shantimohan,
I am not quite sure that I correctly understand your question.
You can do XAML bindings in the ExpanderControl when it is put in a Data Temlpate of a RadDataBoundListBox in the standard approach used in Silverlight.
