I want to filter over columns just by entering directly some value in a 'filter row' - instead of the popup filter box.
Is there something similar in GridView as in DevExpress DxGrid with the property ShowAutoFilterRow="True"?

I don't think Telerik provides this as default functionality.

I had a similar requirement few months back. You can try to combine these:
