I need to modify the template of Axis Item Labels.
In my case I have to replace the standard TextBox with a CheckBox for example.
Is that possible? If yes, how can I achieve this?

Unfortunately, replacing the textblock with a checkbox is not possible at the present time. You can find this issue logged in our Public Issue Tracking System, it is forwarded to our developers for further consideration.
