Hi,

Can you give a sample on how to use the dropdown menu in Dock?

Paul.

Hello Paul,

To my regret I must say that the current CTP of RadDocking for Silverlight does not offer a drop-down menu. The button is just a placeholder.

What do you need to put in that menu? Do you need support for custom command items? We are working on this feature at this very moment, so your feedback would be much appreciated!

Sincerely yours,

I am not sure if you are still working on this feature, but custom commands would be ideal!

Thanks for all of the hard work!

Hello lkeel,

Yes, we are working on the feature and custom commands will be included in the forthcoming release of the RadDocking tool.

Hi, i'm using Silverlight 3 and Blend 3
Not the custom menuitems but how to enable Autohide option ?

Its enabled in panes that are not pinned, and even when i pin.
but after pinning, if i drag and drop, it resizes to some default size ( which is also an issue to me.. need to customize that as well ),
and the Autohide option will be disabled.

1. I need to have Autohide option in every form of the pane ( either pinned or not, after dragging also)
2. Need to remove the Close ' X' mark for panes that are dragged -dropped
3. Need to customize the panes after they are dragged n dropped ( size, headings, position )

Hello Sukhi,

Thank you for contacting us.

Below are the answers to your questions.
1. Unfortunately, this cannot be achieved. There is no way to identify in which AutoHide area the Pane should go when is floating or in document host. This is why we haven't implemented that feature.
2. To hide the "x" button and to disable the closing of the Pane you can use the property CanUserClose.
3. To customize the header of the Panes you can use a custom theme. Attached you will find a sample project which illustrates different way of customizing the header: color, adding an icon, font, etc.
Could you please clarify what else you want to customize. Sending a screenshot will be very helpful.

Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks for your reply Konstantina, but second issue is not resolved .
Attached is the screen shot of Docking i have tried.

There are two panes for which  CanUserClose="False".
so in Pane Left 1, there is no 'X' mark,
but in Pane right 1, even after doing  CanUserClose="False",
if i drag it so that it floats, 'X' mark is still there but the closing operation is disabled.

Along with disabling the 'close' behavior, i want the 'X' mark also to vanish
as it makes no sense to have that icon when its action is disabled.

-Thanks,
    SUKHI

Hi Sukhi,

Thank you for contacting us.

The "x" button that has left is the one of the ToolWindow. You can remove that button using a custom theme. In the Generic.xaml file find the style of the ToolWindow and remove the RadButton with x:Name="CloseButton".

If you have any other questions please feel free to contact us again.

Best wishes,
