Hello, Aleksandr,

The public feedback portal allows us to be better aware of the needs of our customers by reviewing all requests and measuring their popularity. Our roadmap and priorities depend largely on the business value and customers' demand for specific features, and we take into account the most popular requests when planning our future development efforts.

I would encourage you to cast your vote for the items you are interested in and thus increase their priority. The more votes an item gathers, the higher its priority becomes.

On the other hand, I would like to present another option that may be relevant and applicable to your needs - our Feature Acceleration program. It allows a customer to negotiate certain components or functionality to be implemented on demand or sooner than our roadmap implies. Feature acceleration fits well in scenarios where a feature or enhancement is important for an application's success, but it is not planned to be available at the time of the application's completion. If you are interested in pursuing this option, I would recommend you to submit a support ticket from your Telerik account and discuss further the precise case there.

Hello Dess,

did i get you right that Telerik does not work on the most voted/requested features intentionally to force clients buying them?

Thx Alex

Dess,

another question, if we pay for development & then you make the feature public, will you start sharing revenue with us?

:-)

Hi Alex,

My name is Milen Elkin and I am the Product Manager for the Document Processing Libraries among other products and tools. First, let me thank you for being a loyal Telerik customer for numerous years. This means a lot. I am happy we can partner this long successfully so that you can bring value to your customers using our tools.

Now to your question - Indeed votes play an important role when we define the roadmap ahead among other factors. On the other hand, Telerik DevTools include multiple products and functionalities and we strive to have a meaningful strategy that will bring the whole suite to the next level. From your account, I can see that your company uses multiple tools and I can guess you need most of them to advance in greater leaps. Well, the business reality is different and I believe you understand this just like I do. Depending on strategy, different modules get different magnitude of improvements in time. I hope this explanation helps.

I would like to make an additional note and I share it with the best intentions to have constructive use of our future effort. Using too casual language and repeating punctuation marks does not help facilitate a respectful dialog with collaboration in mind. The goal of this forum is to help with technical questions in a public manner so that multiple developers can benefit from the shared knowledge. Please refrain from using it as a chat service.

If you would like to share the implementation scenario you have for DPL, the exact functionality you utilize, and any detailed feedback I would be happy to appoint a call. This would be more than valuable.

Respectfully,

Milen

Hello Milen,

thx a lot for step in, but i would like to end this conversation, because it leads to nothing. Hope being a super smart product manager you will better understand the customer needs based on votes, for now we have what we can see in my first post

Thx Alex
