I have added a custom field to our bug template in team pulse. It appears on the right "column" and is the same width as the Assigned To field. I would like to have it formatted similar to the Steps to Reproduce control which is wider, and the height is adjustable.

Thanks,

Hi,

We have a custom field type "Multi-line text (unlimited characters)". The column for this type is wider and the height of the control will be adjusted to the content.
Please, try creating new field and select type Multi-line. I have attached a screenshot.

I hope this information will be helpful for you.

[TTP22005] Expected 'string' as DestinationFieldType but got 'Multi-line text (unlimited characters)' for field mapping with DestinationFieldName 'System.History' in entity mapping with DestinationEntityName 'Bug'.

Hello,

the TeamPulseFieldType of the multi-line fields is 'string'. You could check Editing the Synchronization Mappings documentation for details. I have noticed that you are trying to sync with tfs history. Unfortunately, teampulse cannot sync with this field because it is specially generated by tfs and the information could not be retrieved.

Hi Diana,

Actually, the field does sync (the discussion part of the history, which is what we wanted). Not sure if this helps.

Hello,

I understand that you succeeded to sync for the custom field of type text and currently everything is alright.
If you still have any issues could you send us the synchronization mapping xml and describe with more details what you need.

We will be waiting for your reply.
