[Solved] Hotfixes via Nuget

Hello -

I posted this question earlier in the MVC Grid forum without any response.

Basically, I had experienced an issue with the MVC grid that was addressed by the MVC-2011-2-715 hotfix.  My question is whether it would be possible to get hotfixes via a Nuget package.  This would greatly simplify the process of applying the fixes in multiple environments.

Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jmarmash,

 Hotfixes are available only to customers who own a commercial license of Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC. The open source version (which the NuGet package is using) is updated only on major versions. This is the reason we do not release the hotfixes as NuGet packages.

Thanks for the info.  I noticed that a new version of the MVC VSExtensions came out today and the changes in the MVC-2011-2-715 hotfix were not included.  You mentioned below that the Nuget package is only updated on major versions.  Do you have any idea when the next major version will be released?  Are they generally quarterly, yearly, or other?

Hi Jeff,

We release a major version of our MVC extensions each four months, i.e. three major releases per year. The next major drop is planned in the middle of this month.
