Currently i can easily use the details view when adding a new row. Is it possible to also show an hierarchy when adding a new row?
I've accomplished this using the details view with a custom control using a grid but i would really rather have it like the other rows in the grid.

Any row will be expandable (with a "plus" sign) if there is a collection as "child" data source. I'm attaching an example that demonstrates this.
Let me know if this doesn't help.

Hello,
Sorry it wasn't what i was looking for.
What i was asking was if there is a way of having showing the plus sign on the "New row" when inserting a new element on the grid? I had to do this using the "Details view" functionality .
For the remaining rows everything is has expected using the built-in hierarchical functionalities that the RadGrid provides.

You may define a GridViewToggleRowDetailsColumn for the parent grid. Thus, once you insert a new item with RowDetails, a toggle button will be displayed. Is that the functionality you are looking for ?
