[Solved] hierachical treeview with xml data as string input

Looking at the site map example for passing in hierachical data i was wondering.
Can i pass in the xml data into the treeview as an xml string to do the binding?
I am getting my xml data from a database record  field as a string and simply want to pass it into the treeview, without 
registering it somewhere else. 
Any examples available ?
