Is there a way to have checkboxes on children nodes but hide the check box on the parent node?

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your interest in our RadControls for Silverlight 2.

Unfortunately, this feature is not supported by the current RadTreeView edition for SIlverlight 2. It is in our To-Do list and we will surely include it in the forthcoming Beta 1 release due mid-July.

I hope this timeframe is acceptable for you.

Hi,

Well, over a year has past since this original question was asked and your reply suggested it would be fixed soon after that.

So, how do we do this with the release version of SL controls?  I have data for which I want to show checkboxes for only the lowest levels (children).

Thanks

Shaun

Hi,

After my original question on this you provided me with a custom build for SL2 that fixed this problem and allowed me to set the checkbox to be shown or not as required.

The timing was not great as due to last months release of SL3 the client now wants to see a demo in SL3 (for good reason) and therefore the custom build is not longer any good for me as it is for SL2.

Is it possible to have a build for SL3 with this ability built in?

Your original response mentioned that a release would fix this, however it has been a couple of weeks now and I've not seen one - when can we expect the release too?

(I did email about this but have had no response in a week or more now so though I'd come through this channel as it was far more productive last time!)

Thanks,

Shaun

Hi Shaun,

Our official SP1 release is scheduled for this week.
So is it acceptable for you or you need the custom build urgently?

All the best,

If I can get the new version with the ability to have some nodes without and some with checkboxes for SL3 by Friday then that will be fine.
If you think it won't be ready could you let me have a daily build before the release?

Thanks,

Shaun
