Hello,

I've used the minifier tool to minify the Telerik.Windows.Controls.GridView assembly because I don't need the TreeViewList.
In the Assembly Minifier tool I have just the option to completely select or deselect GridView.

But when I'm using the minified GridView assembly which contains just the GridView component I'm receiving the following error message.

tag 'GridViewSelectColumn' does not exist in XML namespace 'clr-namespace:Telerik.Windows.Controls;assembly=Telerik.Windows.Controls.GridView'. .....

Do I miss a component which is located somewhere else, or is it a problem with minifying the grid view assembly.

Bye

Uwe

Hi Uwe,

This definitely is not right! We will do our best to upload fix for this as soon as possible.

Please excuse us for the temporary inconvenience! I've added 2000 Telerik points to your account.

Sincerely yours,
Vlad

Hi uku,

We've just published new version that should fix the problem with the GridViewColumns.
Can you give it a try?

Thank you.

Best wishes,

Hello Miro,

thanks for the new version and your excellent support. I didn't expect the solution so fast.
With the new version this problem is solved. By the way, it's great that my XAP file is more than 400K smaller now.
I really appreciate this minifying functionality.

But as you know if you give someone an inch he will take an ell :-), so I want to know if it's somehow possible to not just minify the telerik assembly but all assemblies.

In addition it would be great if the process of creating the "release assemblies" can be somehow automated. The manual process of uploading the assemblies and selected the components manually is ok, when I know, e.g. in a new project which components I will use and want to create the assemblies upfront.
I normally start developing without thinking too much about which components I will use and in a perfect world I would say at the end please analyze the project and create the minified assemblies for the release. This would avoid to manually analyze the project and re-run the minifying process because I forgot to manually select components.

Cheers

Uwe
