Hi all,
We have successfully exported our grids to excel but we have one annoying problem.
The date filter does not work as it should. See the image. Telerik exported excel is on the left and a manually made spreadsheet with a date filter is on the right.
Any ideas on how we can fix this?

I noticed that even your demo outputs dates as strings http://demos.telerik.com/silverlight/#GridView/Exporting in ExcelML. Maybe we're both doing something wrong.

Hi Rob,
I have just made a test here with our online demo . Here the dates were exported as dates not as strings and the filter was OK as you can see in my screen capture.
That makes me believe that Excel will parse / or not the dates depending on the localization settings of the operating system .

Thank you for your reply. Are you using the excel csv export function in that demo? Sorry I should have been clearer that we are using the ExcelML format. Does the ExcelML export format filter work correctly on your pc?
