Hi,
We are using a grid with a detail view, server-side binding. If I expand an item and then try to page within that item, it looks like it refreshes the grid - it collapses the item that was expanded. If I expand the item again, it is on the new page.
You can see the same behavior in the Telerik Examples, on the Server - Detail Template example. (The Client - Detail Template does not have the problem - it works fine.) Expand one of the rows in the grid, then page within that detail grid. When you try to go to a new page, it collapses the item.
(You don't see the problem on the first item in the grid in the example, because it is always expanded when the grid is loaded.)
Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Is there a solution for this? As this is still occurring although this has been posted quite a long time ago?

We never got a reply or solution for it.
It seems like there should be a way to know which row was expanded and set it to expanded after paging but I have not tried to do that.
(We are converting to Kendo, and have the same issue there.)
We worked around it by setting the page size high enough so that the users would not have to page within the detail very often.

Thanks for the reply but I can't really set the page size too high :(
