I posted this accidentally in the general discussion forum but couldn't figure out how to delete or move it here:

http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/aspnet-mvc/general/grid-chrome-and-missing-vertical-scrollbar.aspx#2321764

Anyways:

We've noticed lately that the grids in our website as well the ones on the demo page for the grid show the vertical scroll bar until the page finishes loading and then disappears. It appears to be adding 'overflow: hidden' which has the effect of removing the scroll bar. When I remove this css (inside Chrome debugger) the scroll bar re-appears. I have confirmed this behavior on multiple users' systems. Please advise on a resolution.

Any update on this? We're running into the same thing.

Nope no response from Telerik. Who is your computer manufacturer? So far the only common element I can see with people at my work who are having the issue is that it occurs in Chrome on Fujitsu. I find it hard to believe that it is hardware related but someone suggested I ask.

It's not the hardware but I'm using a Lenovo. Fortunately, 99% of our employees use IE so this isn't a major issue. Guess I'll wait and see if Telerik chimes in.

Hi Mike,

Please note that the overflow: hidden is added when the Grid detects touch-enabled browser - it seems that currently there is "Emulate touch events" option enabled in Chrome and you should turn it off in Chrome debugger options (please check the attached screenshot) to enable the scrollbar.

Check out the successor of Telerik MVC Extensions - Kendo UI for ASP.NET MVC - and deem it for new ASP.NET MVC development.

Are the computers this is appearing on touch screens? The computers this has been happening on at my company are touch screens. What Telerik has replied with makes complete sense (although it sounds like it is still a bug perhaps in the grid itself).
