When I open my project in graphite, it keeps crashing!

Hello Markos,

Have you restarted Graphite recently? We just migrated our site over the weekend and there are updates all over Telerik including the Icenium product and its IDEs and restart is required for those changes to take effect. For more information please refer to the Breaking Changes in our release notes.

Hi Steve,
Yes, I did restart graphite and Telerik App builder has been installed.

Hello Markos,

So is the problem resolved or you're still having problems? Can you share which version does AppBuilder lists in the Output pane? What is the project you're having trouble opening?

When I try to open my existing Kendo UI project, the status bar shows loading extensions and then crashes.
the error message is:

Telerik AppBuilder has stopped working.
"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly..."

I get this error message even when I create a new application of any template. I cannot even get to see the the version of that the AppBuilder lists.

Hello Markos,

You can try to wipe clean the Telerik AppBuilder installation:
  1. Close all AppBuilder instances. Open the Task Manager and make sure that there are no running processes with the name Icenium.Graphite.exe. If there is - kill it.
  2. Uninstall Telerik AppBuilder.
  3. Delete all contents in the %localappdata%\Temp\IceDeviceSimulator folder.
  4. Delete all contents in the  %localappdata%\Telerik\BlackDragon\ folder.
  5. Delete all contents in the  %localappdata%\Apps\2.0 folder.
  6. Re-install Telerik AppBuilder.

If the problem persists, in order to help you further, we would need the following information:
  • Session logs from FiddlerCap (with the Decrypt HTTPS Traffic option enabled). Start it prior
    Telerik AppBuilder and save the HTTP requests to disk. Zip the sessions and upload it to this ticket.
  • Windows event logs: are there any Telerik AppBuilder related errors once the problem occurs? You can save the relevant event log entries, zip and upload those as well.
