I want to freeze the last column in the grid so it can line up with data under that row, how do I go about doing that? Is that even possible?

Hello Tom,

 Could you please clarify what do you mean by the statement: "the last column can line up with data under that row"? I am not sure that I understand you the right way.

Sorry, let me try to explain it better:

The last column in the grid we have is going to be filled with prices, then under that grid I have placed another grid that will hold information like taxes and totals for example. The reason we have this is more information exists beside the second grid. So I want to freeze the subtotal column in the first grid but have it aligned to the right instead of the left. I have lined up the second grid so it looks fine, this is the last step I am missing.

Hello Tom,

Now I understand. Unfortunately the frozen columns could be on the left side only. Is it possible for you to switch your GridViews? That way the subtotal column could be pinned to the left the right GridView.

Is there any work around for this?  This might be a deal breaker for me switching to Telerik.  I need to lock two columns to the right side.

Freezing the last or last x columns is a feature i'd like to see for the GridView too!

Currently i'm developing an app where the last column of the grid holds all the row options available for this row (edit, delete, some others...) and it would be perfect, if this column can't be scrolled "out of view" by scrolling horizontal.

<telerik:GridViewColumn Header ="" Width="Auto">
            <telerik:GridViewColumn.CellTemplate>
                <DataTemplate>
                    <Controls:ArticleOptions />
                </DataTemplate>
            </telerik:GridViewColumn.CellTemplate>
        </telerik:GridViewColumn>

Otherwise i have to take care that the grid columns are so small, that the last one is always visible on all common screen resolutions. And that's not very user friendly ;)

Michael

Hello Michael,

Currently RadGridView only supports frozen columns on the left side.

Hi,

As far as I can see, there is still no solution how to lock a right column?

Hello Julia,

Generally, implementing such mechanism would require major modifications in various functionalities of the control. We are still investigating any possible solution for supporting such feature.

However, based on the user interest in freezing the right columns, we have logged it in our Feedback Portal as a feature request: link. You can vote/comment and track its progress in it.

Hi Telerik,

We also need to freeze columns on the right for the WPF version of the controls. Can we get an idea how high a priority is this? Eg. is it in the top 5?

And what does "Any future updates will be posted in the item." mean? Updates will be posted in this thread?

Regards, Pierre

Hi,

I noticed that you released a new version of Kendo, but the freeze right column is not available yet.

Any news on the progress?

THanks

Hi Ross,

This thread is regarding UI for Silverlight. Since the two suites does not share any code base, may I kindly ask you to post your inquiry in the relevant forum section?

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
