Hi all, I am new in Xamarin app development. I have purchased Telerik "UI for iOS".

My question is should I purchase "UI for Xamarin" or just use "UI for iOS" to develop xamarin app?

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your question.

The answer to your questions depends on your goals:

- do you want to implement a Xamarin cross-platform application targeting Android and iOS, or
- do you want to implement an iOS application using Xamarin?

If you simply want to implement an iOS application, the UI for iOS should suffice. You will have to purchase UI for Xamarin otherwise.

I hope this is helpful.

Hi Deyan,

Yes, I want to development a Xamarin cross-platform app.

Is that mean "UI for iOS" can be use to develop xamarin-app ? (Objective-C libraries or embedded framework)

I am confusing

Hi Jeff,

I am sorry Jeff, I was mistaken.

To be able to develop for iOS using Telerik UI you will need to purchase a separate product that contains the Xamarin Wrappers for iOS:

http://www.telerik.com/purchase/xamarin-ui

You can read a Getting Started guide here:

http://docs.telerik.com/devtools/ios/Xamarin.iOS/getting-started

Please excuse us for the misunderstanding.

Hi Deyan,

Thank you for your reply. But I have download the trial version, it should have TelerikUI.dll.

I want to test the UI on this two frameworks because I am really concern the performance.

If the xamarin-iOS-app does not have any performance issue, I would like to use "UI for Xamarin" for my further application development.

Thank you
