Hello,

Sometimes, when you select a file in the code window, it doesn't navigate to the file in the solution explorer.  Sometimes it does, but sometimes it doesn't.  When I get an error, I open up the file, it doesn't select the file in the solution explorer.  Is there a Just Navigate option to find the file in the solution explorer?  That would be convenient.

Thanks.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for contacting us. What you are most probably looking for is JustCode's "Locate in solution explorer" feature. You can either use the menu item in JustCode's main menu or the shortcut key - Alt + Shift + L.
What VS supports out of the box is the so called "Track Active Item in Solution". That one should keep the file you have opened selected item while you jump through files. In order to enable it go Tools –> Options –> Projects and Solutions and set Track Active Item in Solution. This however has a few drawbacks. First it significantly slows down UI performance and in some cases appears to not work as expected.

I hope this will help and if you have any other questions Just Ask :)

Kind regards,
