Hello,

FiddlerCap was used to work smoothly, but since I updated to latest version, I always get the following error when I start capturing a session:

503 Service Unavailable
Failed to resolve the name of server fiddlercap.fiddler

I attached a screenshot.

Thanks,
Salvatore

The error message in question indicates that the system's proxy setting isn't pointed at FiddlerCap, which means that some other software on the system is interfering with the normal function of the proxy setting APIs.

If you run Fiddler on the same PC, do you see that Fiddler is unable to capture any traffic?

Hello,

Fiddler is working smoothly on the same machine, that's why I'm concerned about this issue.

Fiddler is configured to use the default System Proxy (via a PAC file) and old versions of FiddlerCap were working with no issues, unfortunately I can't troubleshoot it.

Hi, Salvatore--

Sorry, I don't really understand what "I can't troubleshoot it" means.

When FiddlerCap is capturing, what do you see inside Internet Explorer's Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings screen?
