Hello, I am trying to troubleshoot an issue with a VDI. There are rules in the firewall to allow the traffic, but it is still getting dropped. I want to run the site through fiddler Jam to see what is going on. I think what is happening is when the user clicks the VDI. It launches in a new window and I think it is trying to access a resource that also needs to be unblocked. I used Jam but when it launched the VDI in the pop up Jam did not collect any data from that window. Is there a way to configure Jam to gather all tabs data or chose what tabs?

Hey Scott,

By default Fiddler Jam captures the traffic from the tab on which you start the capturing and all tabs opened from this one. Video is captured only from the main tab. However, if you want to capture video from all opened tabs/windows, you have to use the DOM video format - before starting the capturing, click on the advanced options and toggle on the "Use DOM video". Then start capturing and you should be able to capture traffic and video from multiple tabs. When reviewing the logs, at the top of the page you'll see multiple tabs - one for each tab/window from which you've captured logs.

If this is not working for you, we will need more information for the setup and the steps to reproduce. Are you opening a popup in the same tab, opening a new tab or opening an entirely new window?

No answers yet. Maybe you can help?
