Hi,

Any chance you could create a set of themes that match the jQuery UI Themes? (See http://jqueryui.com/themeroller/) Then users could mix your MVC components and jQuery UI components and have them both look the same.

Would be even nicer if you could include a switch to make the Telerik components use the same styles as jQuery UI so something like ThemeRoller would work with your components. Realise this might be a pain to do though!

Cheers,

Kev

Hi Kevin Watkins,

Unfortunately we cannot make the Telerik components use the jQuery UI themes. The names of the CSS classes are different and we cannot change them because there is quite a lot of code which depends on those.

Creating themes that match the existing jQuery UI themes is possible but since it requires quite a lot of work we cannot commit with a deadline.

By the way which components from the jQuery UI suite are you using? Do they have analogues in Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC? What features do you need the most which are currently not present in the Telerik MVC suite?

This is why I'm seriously debating whether I want to use the Telerik MVC in the web sites I'm redesigning.  If I find a better grid control or better tab control I either can't use it due to styles or I have to spend a lot of extra time trying to sync up the 2 different style sheets.  This is something that Telerik should have implemented from day one.  As a developer I don't want to wait 3 months for Telerik to add a feature another JQuery control already has.
