Hi,

In the website of Vanatech they are talking about an express edition which can be used with free databases on localhost such as mysql. I looked for it in your new website but couldn't find a clue. Also there is no trial download for openaccess orm too.

What's your plan about the avalaibility?

Thanks.

Hi,

I had the same question and I was told by Telerik support that the free version will continue as before.  Hopefully they can re-confirm here.

Thanks.

Hi Koray Taylan,

this can only be a matter of hours, maybe one day. There will be an express version which will even allow connections to non local free databases. This version has just not made it to the web site yet.

Is it correct that the OpenAccess ORM dowload doesn't show up in your account purchases/downloads yet?

I have an all-inclusive license, but can't seem to find the download for OpenAccess.

Hello Remco Ros,

There is a process where all existing customers get access to the newest builds. The process is running and just needs some time. As soon as you are able to download the other products, OpenAccess will also be available.

Please stay tuned.

Sincerely yours,

the Telerik team

Thanks for your quick reply,

I see the Q3 releases of RAD controls / WPF / etc. but I don't see the OpenAccess download panel.

Hello Remco Ros,

The accounts update process is still not finished. There is no problem with your account, you will see the new products as soon as everything is ready (a couple of hours). Please excuse us for the inconvenience and thanks for your patience.

I know about the account update process, so it's not really inconvenient.
I always thought that accounts gets updated per account, not per product.

So when I noticed that I could download the Q3 releases. I thought there went something wrong.

I'll have to wait then.

Thanks for the really quick support, keep up the good work!

I can see the OpenAccess panel and have already downloaded it.  Maybe your subscription doesn't include it?  I thought the updates were per-account as well... but hopefully you can see the panel now!

So if I already have vanatec openaccess installed using the community license from before telerik, and I want to upgrdate to the latest version ORM published on nov. 5, what do I need to download ?

Will I download the "trial version" which is avialble on this site and assume that when I run the setup it will upgrade my old installation and pick up the license code installed, or do I need to download something else (another executable, or get another license) ?

Thanks,

Cristian

Hi Cristian,

You do not need the license key an more. Nevertheless you have to uninstall/install the Telerik product. It makes no sence to patch it.

The Express Version will be available for download in the next days.
