[Solved] Export gridview's current sort/group/filter state

Is there a way to export a Grid's current settings as opposed to its data?  That is, I would like to obtain information about the current column setup in the grid -- which columns are shown, what each column's width is, which columns have been grouped, which columns have been filtered, and so on.  Ideally, this information could then be applied to another grid bound to the same dataset, so that the two grids are sorting/grouping/filtering identically.
