Hi,

I need all the items in the Outlook bar to be in the expanded state. There should be no content in the minimized area of the Rad outlook bar. Is there any property to handle my requirement?

Regards,

Syed Danish

Hi Syed Danish,

I am not sure that I understand your scenario correctly. Can you please elaborate on what you mean by "expanded"?
If you want to select more than one item, I am afraid that this is not possible, since the control allows only one item to be selected at a time.
If you need to display all your items as active thus having nothing in the minimized area, then you need to make sure that there is enough available space for the control to display all its items. If there isn't enough space, the items that cannot be displayed are automatically moved to the minimized area. You can find more information about the RadOutlookControl in our online documentation.

However, if your scenario requires a control that allows multiple expanded items, you might consider using the RadPanelBar control.

Please let us know if we can further assist you.

Sincerely yours,

Here by expanded i mean i need all the Outlook bar items in the minimized area, and that need to be displayed into the outlook bar. The user should not drag the Horizontal spliter to view the contents of the outlook bar.

Hi,

Actually, I need all the outlook bar items in Active state in the outlook bar. The contents of the outlook bar gets restricted into the minimized area and I dont want this to happen. Here is the screen shot what exactly I need. In the screen shots requried I need the my outlook bar to look like outlookbar_requried when loaded, where all the items should be visible on load. Please suggest me the change I need to do to look as requried.

Thanks and Regards,

Syed Danish

Hello Syed Danish,

I couldn't reproduce the issue you described. Therefore I prepared an example for you. Can you please take a look at it and modify it to reproduce the issue you are facing? This will help us further investigate what is causing it.

Thank you in advance.

Best wishes,

Hi Tina Stancheva,

Thanks for the reply and the Example solution, but unfortunately this could'nt help me. I am doing the same thing with a generic way and Reproducing the issue is a problem. Out of 10 times 6 times the outlook bar works as expected but the other 4 times that is collapsed into the minimized area. This increases on my testers machine and he raises the issue every time he sees that. Please, help me out of this problem.

Thanks and Regards,
Syed Danish

Hi Syed Danish,

Can you please elaborate on the steps you are taking when reproducing the issue? And if you can trace the visual hierarchy of the control (the visual parents of the control) that can also point us to the cause for the issue.

We have received similar reports, however we weren't able to reproduce the issue locally and we will be greatly thankfull for any info that will help us further investigate it.
