Hello There-

The main reason that I moved from the old RadScheduler to RadScheduleView is because I needed the ability to display ALL appointments in all days in month view...basically I need to expand the rows vertically to accommodate however many appointments are there. We don't implement a day view so there is nothing for the user to even click through to in the event that there are more appointments than what is displayed. I was told on the Scheduler forum that this sort of customization would be possible with the RadScheduleView, but I have yet to see it implemented anywhere. How do you go about doing this?

You can ignore this one. Just realized that the button in the lower right hand corner of the slot that used to take you from month to day view now expands the row to accommodate all appointments...

Hi Kwame Johnson,

Yes. We had several request to change the way all appointments in a day from month view are displayed and we ended up with this solution. I hope it works well and you are well with it.

If you have any other comments about the RadScheduleView please do not hesitate to share them.

Kind regards,

Hi,

Currently, this button comes for all the days in the week if one of the days has more events than displayed in normal view. Is there a way to show this button only for days which has more events than displayed.

Thanks,
Santhosh

Hi Santhosh,

This is not supported in the current version of RadScheduleView for Silverlight and WPF, and will not be in Q2 2011 that is scheduled for the mid July. We will consider adding such ability in the future updates of the control.

Can I make the month-view rows expanded by default so that all appointments are visible in the month view? Or change the shrunken row height so that more are displayed before expanding the row?

Hello Andrew,

I am afraid this is not possible with the current implementation of the control. The ScheduleView is built so it calculates the visible appointments according to the height of the cell in the MonthView and later rearranges them when the expand button is clicked.

Thanks. For feedback purposes, I had a request to have all appointments shown by default, and I think my preferred enhancement to the control would be to be able to default the expander to expanded. Or however you want to do it if you see fit.

So theres no way to size how big each day block is in the month view? I'm not sure thats what I want ti do, but just curious.

Hello,

You could manipulate the height of the rows in the MonthView using the GroupHeaderDateStringFormat, the longer the string of the date you set, the higher the rows will be stretched.

<telerik:MonthViewDefinition GroupHeaderDateStringFormat="{}{0:MM/dd/YY}"  MaxTimeRulerExtent="Infinity" MinTimeRulerExtent="500" />

Another way is to set in the MonthViewBottomLevelWeekGroupStyle the MinHeight of the rows to a bigger number than 85pxl, which is the default one. Attached I am sending you a sample project which illustrates both approaches.
