Hello,

I found an Error on page when selecting a month on the DatePicker control.

The testing was done using the following:
Operating System:
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 RC2 Standard Edition, Service Pack 2

Browser:
Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.13

The steps I took to reproduce the error was:

  1. Move focus on calendar control.
  2. Click on DatePicker header i.e. February 2010. It changes 2010 and shows all the months.
  3. Select any month, it will display an Error on page with the following detail:
    Line: 143
    Char: 6
    Error: Invalid argument.
    Code: 0

Best,
Riaan Engelbrecht

Hi Georgi,

Please note this is not the same thread.
The errors are different for selecting a 'Month' than selecting 'Years' from the DatePicker.

Even the steps are different?

Hi Riaan,

It is hard for us to reproduce exactly the same environment to test the described problem. Nevertheless we believe that the issue is not related with the version of the IE. Could you please test our demos and share with us what the observation are?

All the best,

Hey Georgi,
I believe this is a real problem actually.  When using your example application, the datepicker works great and as expected, however as soon as you take away the 'examples.css' file, you are no longer able to select a 'month' as Riaan said.  I am using IE 8 with the Vista css theme.  Give it a shot without the example css and you'll see the problem.  Thanks!

Hi Seth Morecraft,

Indeed there was a problem related with missing CSS style (line-height), which causes the aforementioned behavior. I am glad to inform you that this issue was fixed and will be included in the next release of the Telerik Components for ASP.NET MVC.

For now to avoid the erroneous behavior just apply line-height CSS style to the body.

Kind regards,
Georgi Krustev

Where did you apply the line-height in order to get rid of the behavior?

Hi Richard,

This shoulds like an old bug which has been fixed. Using the 2010.1.518 build will solve the problem.
