I added an element to the element explorer by using the Element Highlighter in the recorder, and selecting the option to add to repository. I saw that the find logic in its properties was using the TagIndex, and I wanted to change it. However, when I right-clicked the element in the repository and selected Edit Element, I got the attached error message, from ArtOfTest.WebAii.Design.Orchestrator.EditElement. The same error occurs when I attempt to edit the element live.

I verified that I can edit other elements without this error occurring. Also, I verified that the element can be accessed via Pages.ProjectedPlatform.LoadingScreenDiv.BaseElement.

I am evaluating Telerik Test Studio to determine whether we should use it for automated testing. I downloaded the trial version, and installed it Nov. 28. The Telerik Test Studio version is 2016.3.928.0. I am using Visual Studio Ultimate 2013.

    Hi Kevin,

Thank you for your interest in our product and for detailed case information provided.

It is not the natural behavior when adding elements to the repository. Is it possible to send us this project or a sample one that could reproduce this problem? If there is any private info there - open a support ticket and attach it there. It can not be seen from others as the information in this forum.

Try to update your version to the latest internal build from welcome screen of the product as shown on the attached screenshot.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Regards,
    Nikolay Petrov
