I am having major issue running my Telerik WP7 projects in Expression blend. My non-Telerik applications are working fine.

Yesterday I uninstalled and reinstalled Expression (upgraded to Expression Studio Ultimate). Now after opening my application in Expression Blend I receive the following error:

Error hresult e_fail has been returned from a call to a COM component

Here is the stack trace:

at MS.Internal.XcpImports.CheckHResult(UInt32 hr)
at MS.Internal.xcpImports.Collection_InsertValue[T](PresentationFrameworkCollection`1 collection, UInt32 index, CValue value)
at MS.Internal.XcpImports.Collection_InsertDependencyObject[T](PresentationFrameworkCollection`1 collection, UInt32 index, DependencyObject value)
at System.Windows.PresentationFrameworkCollection`1.InsertDependencyObject(int32 index, DependencyObject value)
at System.Windows.Controls.UIElementCollection.InsertInternal(Int32 index, UIElement value)

Any recommended actions to try here? I am anxious to get back to development.

Thanks in advance.

I am having the same exact problem, but I can't create a support ticket since I downloaded the trial. What is the solution to this? I have the exact same StackTrace.

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

It seems that the WP7 SDK seemed to have become corrupt. The solution was to reinstall the SDK.

Kind regards,
