After removing the trial version and installing V3 in the GAC, and updating OWS,
I get the error
"Cannot find installation of r.a.d.editor Sharepoint edition"
when I attempt to add a new list item.

Hello Gary,
It is possible that your browser has cached the old version of OWS and it trying to locate the old version of r.a.d.editor. Please, try clearing your browser cache and opening the same page again.
