Hello

Is there any way to get an empty slot to have a tooltip? We want the empty slots (i.e. where there are no appointments or special/read-only slots) to display the start time for that slot in a tooltip. We think this will make it easier for the person making the appointment to select the right slot. Is this possible?

Regards

Matt

Hi,

Setting tooltips to the Slots is not possible with the current version of the control. We have this feature request in our TO-DO list and we will include it in one of our next releases. However you can  use our SpecialSlots feature, implement a custom style and display the time  in the template of the Slot instead of in a tooltip.
For more details please review the links below:

Hi,

I have exactly the same request. I would like to show tooltip on empty slot to see slot start time, and associated ressource.
Is this feature as now ok in the current version of the Schedulview ?

Thanks
Thomas

Hello Thomas,

In the current version of RadScheduleView it is not possible to set tooltips to the empty Slots in the control.

You could use the approach Rosi described in the previous response and create a custom Style and display the time in the Template of the Slot.

Rosi's solution would be ok, but it means you can easily end up with a lot of special slots to get the time in each (for example, a day view with ten or more resources) and as soon as you reach a few hundred or more special slots the performance takes a serious hit.

Hello Matt,

There are couple of measures that should be kept in mind when using Special and Readonly Slots.

You can read this help article that describes those measures and the best approaches on not losing performance when using Special and Readonly Slots.
