I have a 5 cal license for TeamPulse and have installed it.  I found it very intuitive however I see a couple of huge features missing.

1. Does this application send emails to team members when a task or story is assigned?
2. Can I create a sub task list so that the QA team doesn't have to use a 3rd party solution for QA Bug tracking?

I am in a major time crunch.

--Edit--
I have no problem doing some custom coding as long as it is supported.  So far I find the documentation sort of lacking so not really sure what is possible with this software.

Hi Brian,

Unfortunately at this time TeamPulse does not have the ability to send emails to team members when a task or story is assigned. This is a feature that we have thought about however and it is in our backlog. The more users like yourself ask for things they would like to see in the app the higher the possibility that it be included in a future release, so thank you for the feedback.

As for your second question, your best solution for now while staying within TeamPulse may be to create a story and add tasks to the story that are the bugs that the QA team needs to look at. We hope to have a solution to problem/bug management in the near future.

Hopefully that helps a little. Another thing of note is that we do have our data service that you can tie into. You can find more information on that here.

Kind regards,

The oData service will help out with integration with other applications as I can filter out the oData list based on "Read For Testing".  I can see why you might have opted out of emailing - due to the methodology of how scrum works however I think that having the ability to manually email devs as a reminder would be beneficial.

Two features that will make this product the most robust system out there:
1. Ability to construct emails as part of each story, idea and task with same approach to ctrl+space when adding story and task links.
2. Second configurable list -- for bugs or QA task -- under Story.  Better yet the ability to create lists using the project xml template.
        ex: <story><Lists><List Name="Bugs" /></Lists></story>

Story sub tabs should look like this...
Tasks | Personas | Relationships | Externals | Acceptance Criteria | Custom List (Bugs and/or QA Tasks)

Hi Nisha,

Thank you for your interest in TeamPulse.

Email notifications feature is already part of TeamPulse and you may find more useful information about it on the link below:
http://www.telerik.com/agile-project-management-tools/support-resources/documentation/user-guide/features/notifications.aspx
Here you can get more familiar with some general information in regards to notifications as well as how to set it up.

If you need any more information or have some other questions, please do not hesitate to contact TeamPulse support team at any time.
