Something that would be nice is the ability to edit a post within this forum.  I know that quite often I come to the forums very late at night and on occasion my spelling and/or grammer isn't so great.  It would be cool to come back the next morning and clean it up.

Hello Shaun,

Thanks for your suggestion. Actually, this feature is in our TO DO list and we'll implement it in the forums in the near future.

Kind regards,

Great! I just posted on another thread and misspelt professionalism - spotted as I released the mouse button! Now I look like an idiot for all to see!

Well, we have pushed back this implementation for some time now. So I went and talked to our web team and they are pretty sure that they will be able to add post editing a month after the Q3 release.

I am sorry that it takes so long.

All the best,

That's good, because I'm patiently waiting to change a sentence in my first post in this thread (which I had put there on purpose so I could change it later).  I'm guessing we should see this any day now?

Hi guys,

The feature is already implemented but we would need some time for additional testing. We are going to upload it before the end of this week. Thanks for your patience.

It's been almost ten years - wow!
Can we please, please, PLEASE!!! have the ability to edit posts and delete our own posts?

It's such a trivial functionality of any forum software I'm just flabbergasted it does not work on the Telerik forums!

Thanks,
Jay

Hi Shaun,

Currently, the forums are monitored and moderated by Telerik's staff only. If you'd like to delete or edit a post that you submitted, please let us know and we will do that for you.

As for the instant edit/delete functionality this feature is currently on hold.

Regards,
Filip

It was Jay that asked (Shaun was the original poster) ;)

I can't believe we still can't edit our posts after all this time....

Dito.  The forums are a great tool, allowing the poster to edit should be a basic feature (I'm sure you have your reasons?).  Forums like stackoverflow preserve the original post to show all edits so everyone can see if the question was fundamentally altered, more difficult I'm sure but provides accountability. Their admins also sometimes clean up bad grammar and spelling for obvious mistakes.

Adding a +1 :  I've been using Telerik tools for almost a decade but my typing still isn't perfect. :)  The ability to edit posts within 5 minutes of submission would be very welcome, just to make sure we're conveying the right information in the right format. And since this is a standard feature in just about any other forum on the planet, really now, friends, what's the problem with this? Thanks.

Is it possible to edit or delete our own posts yet?

I just spotted a typo in my own post - it would be nice to clean it up and not leave potentially wrong/confusing code for future readers.

Thanks :)

Hello Barry,

Back in the days we made the decision not to allow edition of posts in our public forums. However you points are absolutely valid and we will reconsider our decision.
