Hi,
I created some PDF using Microsoft Report.
Now I want to add some metadata (e.g. customer name, language, version of the report,...).
There are some tools (iText,.. around, but I wonder if telerik has a tool as well.

I searched through some forums (ASP.NET, Silverlight,...) but I did not exactly found what I'm looking for.
Can you help me where to find if telerik  provides such a functionality?

Thanks in advance
Berthold

Hi Berthold,

Telerik Reporting supports PDF metadata with a rendering extension setting in the Telerik Reporting config section. More information on configuring the rendering extensions is available in the following articles:
You may find useful the Acrobat JavaScript Scripting guide document.

About RadDocument - it offers PDF export through PdfFormatProvider. However, adding such metadata is not supported for now.
We are also considering implementing a PDF viewer for Silverlight, however, due to time constraints, we're not sure exactly when it will be available. Moreover, it is not quite clear yet if it will be possible to persist and edit such metadata.
There is a PITS issue regarding the implementation of a PDF viewer, which you can use to track our development plans and progress:
You can follow the PITS Issue by its ID: 7075
Here you can find the PITS Issue: Public URL
