I subscribe to the ItemToolTipOpening event to display a drill down chart.
Problem is that everywhere where I hover with the mouse over the Area you get the see the drill down chart.
Is it possible to only show the drill down chart when you click on a datapoint in the master chart ?

Unfortunately, RadChart does not support item tooltips on event other than the hover event. The control exposes the ItemClick event as well which you could use to manually show tooltips but this should happen outside the scope of the chart control.
