I just saw the release notes of the new version of the mvc extensions.
I tried to download it from
http://www.telerik.com/account/your-products/product-versions/single-download.aspx?pmvid=0&pid=697
it gave me Telerik_Extensions_for_ASPNET_MVC_2010_3_1318_OpenSource.msi
But when I tried to install it, it was just the old version without the new mvc 3 stuff added.
Could you please provide the new installer ?
The Manual installation files looks oke.

Hi raymond,
Atanas Korchev
the Telerik team
Why do you think this is the old version? If you click the "Custom" install option you should be able to see the MVC 3 options. Have in mind that the MVC 3 demos are not included in the installation and are available as a separate download.

When run the installer the first thing I noticed was the version in the left bottom corner
"version: Q3 2010, Release Date 2010/11/10"
There was no upgrade option, only :
"Change"
"Repair"
"Remove"
So I chose "Remove" and after it was removed I installed it again.
In the "custom install" section there was no mention of mvc3. so I just used the full install
then I looked in the folder:
C:\Program Files\Telerik\Extensions for ASP.NET MVC Q3 2010\Binaries\
and there were no binaries there for mvc3. Also in visual studio 2010 when I create an mvc3 project there is no option to create a telerik mvc3 project. I also cannot convert it.

Hi Raymond,
I too was having a similar issue - but I think I just figured it out.
There is another build - you have to log into your account and then click the "Product Downloads" button. In there, the MVC download has the version with the MVC 3 assemblies in it. You will know because it is named differently (Telerik_Extensions_for_ASPNET_MVC_2010_3_1318_Dev.msi vs Telerik_Extensions_for_ASPNET_MVC_2010_3_1318_OpenSource.msi) and is slightly larger than the other (32MB vs 28MB).
Hope that helps!

Hi,
Atanas Korchev

There was indeed a problem with the downloads which I believe we fixed. Please try downloading the files again.

With the new version everything went as planned.
The installer upgraded the old-telerik installation.
From Visual studio I was able to upgrade my current project
and I can now create an mvc3 telerik project with (or without) razor.
thank you
