Does anyone know why the Telerik control names are prefixed with the word 'Rad'?

My colleagues and I were just wondering if there is a particular reason why the Telerik control names are prefixed with the word Rad'. Does anyone know? Is it supposed to be an abbreviation of 'radical'?

Rapid Application Development?  Although since I'm all thumbs at times, I think it should be "Rapid-er" as "Rapid" is hardly the word that I would describe it.  Clearly, it's more 'sexy' than RSA/GUID - Rapid Silverlight Application / Graphical User Interface Development.
