Is this even possible?  I'd like some advice.

I'd like to be able to visually show a document on screen and build each page.  I'd like each page to be a grid with user selected number of columns and rows and be able to drag the borders to change the size.  Then I'd like to be able to drag various UI elements into each grid cell.  If it's possible, is there any Telerik training available for this?

Hi Darren,

We do not have a UI component that allows the editing of PDF files. What is your application type in this case (desktop or web)? If you are using a desktop application I can suggest to use the RadRichTextBox or the RadGridView to create the table and then export it to PDF.

In addition, what kind of UI elelemnts you want to drag in the cells. Can you give us some examples?

I am looking forward to your reply.

Hi, thanks for the reply, I've only just seen it.

I would want to drag a User Control in with various UI elements.  I'd also like to be able to save it as a template so I can open the document with a different data set and print.

Hello Darren,

The Document Processing Library only works with predefined document standards (xlsx, docx, pdf, html, rtf). It does not provide any UI and we do not have a component that will allow such functionality. Depending on the desired application type I believe it would be better to post this question in the UI components forum. Since you have mentioned a UserControl I believe that you have a desktop application and such functionality seems possible with our WPF and WinForms suites.

Should you have any other questions do not hesitate to ask.
