[Solved] Do I need Design Canvas?

Hi
I need to create automated tests for a silverlight app.   I downloaded the the WebUITest Studio, but don't understand why I need (If I do) the Design Canvas ...? What does that do for me?  I'm working in VS 2008.

Thanks for your evaluation of WebUI Test Studio, we hope you find it useful for your Silverlight testing requirements.
 
The WebUI installation has a 3 part requirement:

-Telerik WebUI Test Studio Q3 2009
-Automation Design Canvas 2.0
-WebAii 2.0

Please let post back if you have questions on any of the components.

Also, if you wish to uninstall the WebUI completely, please do so in the Start Menu -> Telerik -> Telerik WebUI Test Studio Q3 2009 -> Uninstall WebUI Test Studio.

Hi Kristin,

This is just a quick follow up to the response of my colleague since all these may look a bit confusing for people who are not familiar with those products.

You may actually consider WebUI Test Studio as the product on top of the WebAii framework and Automation Design Canvas. It actually extends Design Canvas providing built-in support for RadControls (both ASP.NET AJAX and Silverlight). This way you can record your tests against RadControls much easier and without the need to understand either the complex structure of the advanced controls or their public API.
