I have heard that in SharePoint the Telerik RadEditor toolbar can be customized by the type of user role, i.e. Content Authors would have a limited tools on the toolbars but SuperUsers would have all of the tools on the toolbars.  Can this be done with the Telerik RadEditor in DotNetNuke and if so how?

Hi,

The Telerik DNN provider for RadEditor supports different configuration files for different user roles. For more information, see the following forum post - http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/dotnetnuke/skin-objects/different-versions-of-the-toolsfile-xml-file.aspx

In addition to the configuration options listed in the post above, you can also set the ToolsFileRoleNames property with a list of roles - e.g. "Role1,Role2" and the name of the role will be appended to the tools file name - e.g. ToolsFile_Role1.xml, ToolsFile_Role2.xml

Best wishes,
