Hi

I'm working on some irrigating control system. I'm using the schedule view control to show my irrigation program
for example: Program A starts at 08:00 until 12:00 so 'A' is actually an appointment.
Things get a bit complicated when irrigation program is set from number of valves the take place in the program (v1, v2, v3, etc)
so v1 is working from 08:00 - 09:00
  v2 09:00-11:00
v3 11:00-12:00

My goal is to style each valve with its own color but i do not want to render each valve as an appointment.

Any ideas how can i do this?

Thanks In Advance

Roei

Hi Roei,

I believe your scenario can be realized with the help of GroupHeaders. Please, find attached a basic example illustrating what I mean. Each valve is represented by a group header. Next , with the help of  the GroupHeaderStyleSelector, you could have different appearance for each valve.

I would also suggest that you consider using the AppointmentItemStyleSelector to provide groupheader-aware appointment styles for each valve appointments. Having matching colors for the appointments would help for easier visual recognition.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Hi Dani

Thanks for the detailed response!

I think i found a solution i use the special slots to show the programs and on top of that i show the valve (appointment) using
AppointmentItemStyleSelector as in your CustomStyles example project.

See attached image
Thanks Again

Hello Roei,

I am glad you found a solution. Yes, it is perfectly possible to use special slots. In case you wish to have a better separation between valves and hours, maybe the group headers fit better. Anyway, you can choose whichever approach suits your requirements and scenario best.
