Before the last Service pack the smarttag ConfigureDataSource always gave me the "empty please compile project first" error...then the service pack hit and that all went away and I could see my classes

Now the problem is back with Q2 2010

I see my 3 assemblies in the dropdown, but when I choose them and hit next to choose the object to use it's just the "empty" error again

Hello Steve,

In fact we were not able to reproduce this behavior on our side. However it seems like OpenAccess cannot retrieve all the classes from the selected project. Please try to rebuild to solution before performing the setup of the OpenAccessDataSource.
If this does not help could you please provide us with a sample application where this is demonstrated?
We are looking forward for your reply.

That's part of the problem, its a dev website with hundreds of loose pages some made by contribute, coding\compile errors :)

So I can't compile it

So I have 3 OA Assemblies, and 3 ObjectScopeProviders

So is it now having a hard time seeing the scope provider because I have 3?

Hello Steve,

I have prepared a sample solution which includes three OpenAccess class libraries and three ObjectScopeProviders. I have tested the scenario against the latest version of the product using these libraries and everything seems to work fine.
You can  find this sample solution attached.
Please share with us if this sample solution is working fine on your side.
We are looking forward to your reply.

Hi Steve,

I added the WebSite project to the sample application.

Hello Steve,

We tested the problem against the later version of the product but unfortunately we were unable to reproduce the described behavior. Our test application included three OpenAccess class libraries with three different scope providers, a web site and a web application project.
At this point I would suggest you to try configuring the OpenAccessDataSource manually. You can use this help section as a reference.
Hope that helps.
