Hi..
I created my first app. How can I deploy it to a group of testers?
I don't want to submit it to the App store at this stage.
Just want to get general feedback etc.
Can't I take the project files and post them on a web site?
How would I do that?
thanks in advance

Is it for Android? Then just distribute the APK that Icenium generates for you (your testers should have an APK installer, available from Google Play). If it's for iOS, then you need your testers to install ION (from Apple Store) and have them follow a link. Don't have exact steps for iOS at hand.

Here is the documentation link for the Icenium Ion walk-through.
Hope this helps,

Hello Jon,
You will need to use Mist for any of the options I am going to offer. We have not added this option in Graphite.
You have two options:
1. To use Ion as Stefan has said. Just send email with QR code of Ion and the app to your test users. Tell them to install Ion first and the just scan the QR code of your app and it will load in Ion.
2. The second option is to create Ad-Hoc distribution build and send them the QR code. This time it will actually install on people's devices.
Note that for all of the above you will need to use Mist for now.

Hello,
Once you have distribution certificate:

We do not have documentation for how to create Ad-Hoc build.
Here you can watch a youtube video about ad-hod distribution: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVO0tIHmQTg
You can read our glossary to get an idea about provisions and certificates: http://docs.icenium.com/working-with-devices/apple-ios-devices/code-sign-glossary
Here is an overview what you should do:
If you do have distribution certificate:
- Create certificate request from either Graphite or Mist.
- Go to Apple site and upload certificate request to get a certificate.
- Return to Graphite or Mist and upload certificate to create "Developer Identity."
Once you have distribution certificate:
- Add all your testers' UDIDs.
- Go to Apple site and create ad-hoc provision with all your testers' devices.
- Make sure your application identifier matches the one of your application. You can go and change it in "Project Properties" in either Graphite or Mist.
- Download and upload the distribution provision in Icenium.
- Use Mist to create an ad-hoc build and send the generated QR code to your testers.
- They should simply scan it with QR code reader.
