How do I select Times (range, multiple, single) to add events while in Day View Mode?
eg.
Nov 9, 2017
1pm - 3pm Event 1
2pm - Event 2
3pm - 5pm - Event 3
6pm - Event 4

If I understand you correctly, you would like to populate the RadCalendar component with data and to change the selection mode of the component.
Regarding the first question, you could review this article, where it is described, how to define a list of events. For further info, you could also review the sample here.
The calendar component supports several selection mode options: Single, Multiple, Rane, which are described here and their usage is demonstrated in this sample app.
However, if the case is different, please provide some more detailed info about your scenario.

While in Day View Mode. I'd like to range select from 1pm to 4pm by clicking 1pm and 4pm.
This range select is available only on Month View to select multiple days.
It would be great if we could do similar selection modes (range, multiple, single) on Day View.

After discussing, this scenario with our developers, we considered that the Multiple and Range selection mode functionalities are created for the cases while it is used week or month viewMode and to be able to select range of days or weeks.
The main idea for day view mode is the ability to select a day and to list all events for the selection. At this point, there are no plans to extend Multiple or Range selection mode functionalitie for the day view mode.
However, if you have some specific use case you could, where a similar feature is needed, please log it here in our feedback repository. There you could provide a detailed explanation of your case and why you need this feature.
