Firstly I want to apologize for the inconvenience caused.
This is a known issue, which is already fixed and the fix will be included in the next internal build of the product. The error arises because a metadata function added in the SQL Server 2005 SP2 is being used during schema reading.
You could update your SQL Server instance to SP2 to avoid the wrong behavior.

I have the same error and it looks like this server is SP2.
Is there an addiional patch I need for SQL server or a download from Telerik to get me back in business?
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.2047.00 (X64) Apr 14 2006 01:11:53 Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft Corporation Enterprise Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2)
Thanks for any help.
We have fixed the issue with the schema reading in our latest internal build of the product. You could download it under your account.

Just browsing through the forums and saw your question.
Your SQL Server is NOT on service pack 2. However the Windows server on which it is running is running Windows service pack 2.
Try to get the SQL Server 2005 x64 service pack #2 (#3 is out now too) and run it:https://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=14752
