I have installed latest version of ORM in VS 2010. After creating the entity diagram the wizard is not shown - neither on the menu bar or by right clicking on the linq file.

What is the prereq´s for this to show up ? (It is a c# web example). Also tried the tutorial end to end with the same problem.

Berst regards

Hello Thomas,

Thank you for downloading and installing Telerik OpenAccess ORM. In fact, yesterday we released the new version of OpenAccess - Q3 2010, and the first step in order to get the DSW working on your machine would be to make sure you are using the latest version. There are a couple of things you will have to do before proceeding.
Please uninstall OpenAccess, go to the installation folder (probably C:\Program Files\Telerik) and delete the 'OpenAccess ORM' folder, if it is there. Then install the latest version and see if the problem remains.
Would you please also tell us:
1. Had you changed your installation folder when you installed OpenAccess?
2. What operating system you are using?
3. Which version of OpenAccess you had installed when this problem occurred?

Best wishes,

I tried to uninstall and install without any change. I had an old version of RadControls for ASP.NET installed. I uninstalled and then reinstalled OpenAccess. The Wizard now showed up and working.

Thanks for the good advice & support.

Hi Thomas,

We apologize for the troubles with the menu. We have found a problem there and the fix will be available in the next internal build of the product. So far we have discovered that sometimes a restart of Visual Studio is required in order for the menu entry from the rlinq context menu to be shown. If the entry is not there, please just use the main 'Telerik' menu on the top. If that it is also not available, please let us know the following information:
1. Have you changed the installation folder when you installed OpenAccess?
2. What operating system you are using?
3. Which version of OpenAccess you had installed when this problem occurred?
If any other problems arise, please do not hesitate to contact us back.

Kind regards,

A.Alexandrov
