HI, Telerik Guru:

I'm tasked to display videos with the RadMediaPlayer control in a silverlight project. The area for me to put the MediaPlayer control in is very small, only 200px * 300px. When I tried to put the MediaPlayer there the control panel is not showing up right. What I meant by control panel is the panel that hold the progress bar, the play/pause, stop, fast forward, rewind buttons, the current time/total play time and full screen button. In my small area, the control panel looked cut off at the full screen button(it only has half showed up). Is there a way for me to customize this template? In this project I don't have enough real estate so I'm thinking I just need to show a few basic buttons with the progress bar above it. Please let me know if this is possible and some example code would be very much appreciated!

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

You should edit the template of the MediaPlayer (more precisely the template of the RadMediaPlayerWrapper). You could take a look at this article about custom styles: http://www.telerik.com/help/silverlight/common-styling-appearance-edit-control-templates-blend.html

We already have such a feature request about hiding some parts when player is constrained with smaller size. You can vote and track its status through this link: http://www.telerik.com/support/pits.aspx#/public/silverlight/4569

All the best,
