I need to customize the drop down list item display in 2 ways:
1) show an icon next to an item's text (like the WebForm's version ImageUrl attribute)
2) insert a separator item (again, like the WebForm's version IsSeparator attribute)
What are the steps to do this?

Unfortunately, both feature are not supported in Telerik ComboBox for ASP.NET MVC. There is no easy workaround, because rendering of the items cannot be modified for the time being.
