Basically we wanted to use this https://github.com/apache/cordova-plugin-media, I understand that there is already a similar in the core media plugin but it's version 2.2.0 and that one uses a default encoder while the other one is set to AAC which we need. But when turn we off the core media plugin and install the custom plugin when it builds it does not include on the custom one. Is there a way around this?

I have checked the latest version of the cordova-plugin-media and it requires cordova-android 6.1.0. Based on the information that your Core Media plugin is version 2.2.0, I can deduce that you are using AppBuilder Cordova 5.0.0. To resolve this issue, you should upgrade the Cordova version of your app to 6.4.0 (which uses android-cordova 6.1.0).
